WEBENCH® Tools: Does Webench make allowances for variation in capacitance with applied voltage?

I've been using Webench designs for some time, and realised yesterday that I don't know whether Webench's choice of input and output capacitors for LED drivers takes into account the reduction in capacitance that comes with applied voltage. Do I need to increase the capacitance that Webench comes out with in order to take into account the fact that some ceramic capacitors have quite major reductions in capacitance when they're used with a permanent DC bias (as they mosly are), or has his been taken into account within Webench?


TIDA-01465: New manufactured board using TIDA 01465 gerber and BOM, but facing first time programming issue

Hi,

Using TIDA-01465 Gerber and BOM, we have manufactured few board. For the first time programming purpose we are connecting it to the sensing solution EVM GUI and proceeding as per instruction provided in user guide for firmware upgrade (section 2.9) . But we are unable to program the board. GUI is continuously displaying uploading in progress we have waited for 5min but no progress. 

GUI version: V1.9.2.

For first time programming purpose do we need some other tool?

Please let us know your suggestion.

We are planning to use TLV4379 op amp in a new design, mainly because of its very low quiecent current and low supply voltage.

We are using Labcenter Electronic's  Proteus Design Suite 8 for schematic capture, simulation, firmware IDE and PCB layout.

Question: Can TI deliver a Berkley 3F5 SPICE model for TLV4379?

TINA/Spice/LM5170-Q1: Simulating LM5170 for single channel operation

Greetings,

I am using TINA-TI to simulate my design with LM5170. I am trying to use LM5170 for single channel operation by grounding EN2 and leaving all the other pins related to channel two floating. TINA-TI gives me an error message window "Irregular circuit" and some description such as: Node: 213 Component/Terminals: .U1 UTOP_U_CH2CONTL_SNB2

The simulation won't start at all.

Please advise.

I am Building a DC power board using LM317's and LM7705. I can't find the spice model for the 7705 nor is it in the library I downloaded to use in Eagle for Designing the PCB. If I could get the spice model and the library file that would be awesome. I am a senior at ASU and this is for my senior design.

TIDA-01541: Cut-off Frequency of Motor Current Sampling Circuit

HI!

The motor current control loop is generally equal to the switching frequency. Sometimes it can be twice the switching frequency.The switching frequency of IGBT module is generally less than 10KHz.According to Nyquist's law, in order to prevent frequency aliasing, the bandwidth of the anterior analog circuit of SAR ADC is required to be less than half of the sampling bandwidth of SAR ADC.Despite the high sampling rate of SAR ADC, for the control loop, each control cycle is sampled only once. The control period is equal to the sampling period.

In this circuit board, the bandwidth of current sampling circuit is 94 KHz, which is much larger than that of the current control loop sampling frequency . Is this design unreasonable? Or is my previous statement incorrect?

    In this case, I think there are two problems.Maybe my understanding is incorrect, so I look forward to your help.

    The first one is about the relationship between the bandwidth of control loop, sampling frequency and the bandwidth of  analog circuit in front  of SAR ADC.

The control period is equal to the sampling period.  In this circuit board, the bandwidth of current sampling circuit is 500  KHz, which is much larger than that of the current control loop sampling frequency . Is this design unreasonable? Or is my previous statement incorrect?

    The second problem is about the front-stage operational amplifier circuit of SAR ADC.The SAR ADC input circuit requires High bandwidth and Low Slew Rate for operational amplifiers.Operational amplifier INA240 does not seem to meet the requirements.In real applications, do you need to add OPA320 in the back?

PMP20127: Getting switching ripples on output

       we used your PMP20127 with some modifications in schematics and PCB. But we getting noise pk-pk upto 1.5V in output at 1.6Amps load and board is also have heating issue.  just guide me to resolve this.

Hi :

Sorry to bother you.

When i use the simplis model of UCC28064, I found that the current flowing into VSENSE Pin is over 1 uA, which is different from 100 nA in datasheet. This will cause the Vout haigher than expected.

Can you check the model or advise me why it happens? Thank you.

Sorry to bother you.

I founded a system model of PFC-LLC with UCC28064 and UCC256301 in simplis, but it takes too much time to run(up to 100 hours to simulate just one second). So can you give me some advice on how to faster it? Or how can i set the step-time-length to reduce the computation?

LMP91000: when i insert in or pull out the gas sensor , The Vout has no change

Recently i use the gas sensor(Alphasense`s sensor OX_B431 NO2_B43F SO2_B4 CO_B4),and use these sensors with lmp91000, But i cann`t read any changes On Vout if i insert into or pull out the gas sensor?  the SPI communication with LMP91000 is OK. my circuit is below , So Can someone give me sone ideas, What should i do?? 

my Configureation parameter for lmp91000 is Vref=2.5  Zero = 67%, No Bias,
