I have designed the multistage amplifier with OPA37GP and dual amplifier band pass filter using OPA2111KP. Kindly suggest me, what kind of PCB (single layer or double layer) would be suitable for this type of preamplifer.

TINA/Spice/TLV171: TIDA-01371 similation issue

Part Number:TLV171

Hi,

I have downloaded the TINA file for TIDA-01371 reference design from here:

https://e2e.ti.com/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/234/Positive_2D00_LDO_2D00_Virtual_2D00_GND.TSC

Simulation results are the same as described in tiduci3a.pdf . However, when I change the TLV171 supply voltage (VCC) from 12V downto 5V, then simulation results are very strange to me. What should I change in the reference design in order to be able to operate the circuit with 5V supply? For some reasons this would be much more convenient for me.

TIDA-00792: incorrect measurements cell voltages and temperature

Part Number:TIDA-00792

Hello,
I have encountered a problem when testing a BMS for a 12s2p battery pack, largely based on the TIDA-00792 design.

While charging the pack suddenly shut off. When connecting the EV2300 to it the reason seemed to be because of the over-temperature and under-voltage protection.

The BMS and parallel cells were disconnected and the cells and temperature sensors were checked. The cells were all around 3.9 V and did not feel warm to the touch.

The 103AT Temperature sensors were around 11kOhm. Assuming the BMS was defective, it was replaced by another one, which also gave low voltage and overtemperature errors.

One again the cell voltage and temperature sensors were checked. All the cells  were still around 3.9 V. However, when connecting the EV2300 to it the next week, the measurements were correct.

The only files and states I have gotten of the faulty state is a screencapture of the bqStudio program, see below.

I was thinking the bq76940 was defective because the individual cell voltages were incorrect but the ext avg. cell voltage was closer to the actual measured value of the cells.

I was wondering what could cause this problem and how it could be prevented another time.

With kind regards.

Hi Team,

Good day. My customer encountered an error while importing the PSPICE model of LM3017. Unfortunately after going through the creating new Macro this error appeared "Undefined parameter or possible use of function before definition: SS.".

How to solve this error? Looking forward for your response.

TINA/Spice/TPS62130: Question about AGND and ETPAD connections and effects in the TINA-TI model??

Part Number:TPS62130

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi there TI folks;

I'm doing some simulations with a few TI SMPS parts, and I'm interested in their behaviour when connections are bad, or no-connect, or mis-connected.

I tried to run the 62130 model with AGND left 'open', and the simulator failed with some kind of convergence failure... so, I connected the AGND with a 1G Ohm resistor, to simulate a 'bad' AGND, and even isolated the ETPAD pin the same way, but the simulation showed the same behaviour as with AGND connected, and 'probing' those nodes showed a hard GND/0 V on the simulation output.

Thus, the question remains: are these 'pins' actually simulated, or just shown on the schematic for fun??

Best regards,

TIDA-00274: Max current limit

Part Number:TIDA-00274

The Feature list for the TIDA-00274 BLDC motor reference design lists the max current as 1.9Apk/1.25Arms, and the test data shows a test at this limit. However, the reference design uses the DRV8313 EVM hardware which states it can handle 2.5A pk.

What limits the max current in the TIDA-00274 design?  Is this a limit set by the control algorithm?

WEBENCH® Tools/LM5001: Webench won't allow simulation with light load

Part Number:LM5001

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

I designed a boost converter using an LM5001 which takes 12V and makes 48V at 0.12A.  It simulated fine.  When I tried to examine stability at lighter loads the simulation wouldn't let me go beyond one half the design load and failed to generate a result even at that current.  I need to know examine stability at low load currents since the design must operate with any load down to a minimum of about 1mA.  I may have to add a dummy load to insure stability but I need the simulation to determine how much load I need and how to adjust the compensation components to minimize the dummy load.

The equivalent simulation platform from Linear Technology does this easily for an LT8362 design,  I can't find a way to do it on the TI webench platform.

Can anyone explain to me how the TDC7200 communicates with the microcontroller.

My second question: what is the role of the TPS22967 .And what is the purpose of laser_on signal that it generates.

I understood the general principle of this reference design, but still confused about these two points.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Can anyone share with me a TINA-TI circuit that has LM3880TPS56339, and TPS2420 components?

P.S. I already tried to look for these components in the unencrypted spice models webpage but couldn't find them there!

Thanks

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

While trying to validate the design equations & other datasheet examples to verify the accuracy & understand the operation using the TI reference model for TPS92518. Unable to replicate the performance.

Considering Vin= 57V, Vout= 44V, Iout= 1.6A, ILP-P= 0.3A, eff= 95%, fSW= 250KHz, design tool gives L= 109uH, Rsense =145mOhm, tOFF= 749.7ns, but when I use TPS92518 Transient model to verify this by putting LED_TOFF_DAC[7:0]= 70, & LED_PKTH_DA[7:0], i.e., Viadj on the model to be 255. with Rsense =145mOhm & L= 110uH, I am unable to replicate the performance.

Have a few questions regarding the TPS92518 Transient model:

1. How are you considering the Rload in the design, how are you calculating it?

2. the 470pF C_OFF capacitor, it is not a part of IC design, how has it been considered.
