Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
Hi,
I watched a TI video that was posted on Youtube since 2014 which talked about "WEBENCH Schematic Editor" where you can literally add/remove/fully edit the whole design, but when I tried to follow with the instructions in this video I couldn't do it because one of the tabs that the guy was clicking through in the video doesn't exist on the current Webench tool! Does anyone know how to get to the WEBENCH Schematic Editor option?

Hi, TI' s expert:
I want to simulate 5V volts start up using TINA software, so change the feedback resistors of PR6 from 10K to 1.37K. but after finish the simulation , the result shows the output is not be changed.
you can refer the schematic and the simulation results.
Thanks

Hello,
In the TIDA-00913 reference design, there is a RF filter in the output of INA240 and there is no input filter before the INA240.
1-)When should we use that RF(output filter)? can we remove that?
1-)Is that RF filter in the output of INA240 enough for noise filtering? When do we need input filter for INA240?
Regards,
Mohammad.

Hello,
The following picture is in the TIDA-00913 reference design:
I have some questions about that:
1-)What we can do for avoidance of reading those transient events in the output of INA240?
2-)The settling time for INA240 is 9.6-9.8 micro second. Is this settling time just for edges of PWM signals (changing from low to high or high to low);in other word, if we read the current in the middle of PWM signal, should we consider this settling time (acquisition window for 9.8 micro second) or we can immediately read the current (minimum acquisition window))?
Regards,
Mohammad.

Hello,
What is the benefit of having three INA240 inline sensors instead of having two ?

Dear Team,
My customer would like to refer TIDA-01425 to build their product. As we can see from the user guide, some software are required to verify TIDA-01425. However, the user guide does not mention where/how to get the software.
Could you point me where/how to get below items?
1. Required software in both PC side and J6Entry side.
2. Software source code.
3. Documentation for build/burn/use the software.
Best Regards,

Dear TI Experts
I have doubt on the self synchronous rectification stage used in the PMP5711.
In one of the TI document (http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua535/slua535.pdf) it has been told that If the input voltage range is wider than two to one, self driven synchronous rectification may not be an option and a control driven solution should instead be considered. But, in this case the range for Gate to source voltage is going higher than the 20V. Then For this zener diode has been used.
I am making Active Clamp Forward Converter with Synchronous Rectification for the Input range of 16V to 50V and Output is 5V, 30A. Can I use the same self synchronous rectification circuit which is used in PMP5711. My target efficiency is above 90% at 50% to 100% load.
Thanks & Regards
Saunak

Hi,
I have a customer requesting for the demo code for Io-Link reference designs. Is there a way to obtain it? Some of our technical documents is referring to the product folder in TI website. However, it could not be found.

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
At low output currents the WEBENCH tool sometimes rounds both efficiency and input current to zero. For example using the shared design webench.ti.com/.../SDP.cgi , specified for output current up to 120mA, this happens if you set the output current to 10% of this i.e. 12mA and the input voltage to the maximum design value of 5.25V. At the minimum input voltage of 4.38V it works OK, giving Efficiency 63.4% and Iin Avg 25.2mA.
There is also a problem with the resolution of the cursor readout in the chart display. If you hover the cursor over the left-hand end of the red trace on the Efficiency chart it reads out values of Output Current 0.01A and Efficiency 63.44 (presumably %), which is the value for 12mA, not 10mA output. Similarly, the next point available for readout claims to be at 0.02A but is actually at 24mA, and so on at every 10% increment of the design maximum output current. This is much clearer in the old Flash tool, which correctly reports the points at 12mA steps.

Hi,
I'm getting an error while trying to import LM3880 into TINA-TI, the error says: invalid device: $CDNENCSTART.Line: #62. $CDNENCSTART.
Importing TPS54339 generate an error says: empty file!
Importing TPS2420 gives me an error: invalid device: $CDNENCSTART.Line: #52. $CDNENCSTART.
Can you imagine how discouraging to use TINA or any of TI design/simulation tools, this is my first time using your tools!!!!. Do you have an idea about the the solution?
I hope you are not going to ask me to request the unencrypted targeted spices!! For a designer to ask unencrypted spice every time want to design something makes the process so pointless and meaningless with all respect!!!
Thanks

Is there a way to plot wrapped phase with TINA-TI? I can't seem to locate the option.
I would be fine with unwrapped also if there was some way to specify what to use as the phase = 0 reference.
The attached example shows a series of two 2nd order HP filters. As expected, after the first, the phase shifts from 0deg at HF, to 180deg at LF.
After passing thru the second filter, the phase would still be 0deg at HF, but shifted thru 360deg at LF. But, TINA-TI is plotting with the phase shifted to start at -360deg at HF.
This makes it very difficult to visually compare phase from different parts of the circuit when plotted together.
If there is a wrapped phase option this would solve the issue, as shown on the lower plot created by exporting to Excel and performing the phase wrap calculation.
Part Number:UCC27524
Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models
Hello,
I am using the unencrypted pspice transient model for UCC27524 in LTspice. As an experiment, I connected the driver output directly to a 8100pF capacitor with no external gate resistor in the simulation. Purpose is to verify the dynamic pull high an pull low resistance inside the gate driver. The simulated gate pulse current is less than 4.2A for both pull high and pull low, while the gate driver is powered by 7.5V voltage source. This indicates the internal resistance is around 1.7 ohm which is larger than datasheet value. The power supply is then increased to 15V. This time the gate current peak is clamped flat to 5.30A(source) and 5.65A(sink). Increasing the power supply voltage doesn't change the clamped peak current amplitude.
Can you clarify if the unencrypted pspice model is accurate regarding the gate current pulse? Is the model reliable to evaluate the dynamic internal resistance of the driver during switching transience? Is the TINA model or encrypted pspice model more accurate? Does the physical device also have output current clamp?
Thank you.
Zhenyu
Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models
Hi,
Is there a specific way/procedure to request an unencrypted spices for the LM3880 and TPS2420, or any other spices?
Is there any repository for unencrypted spices?
Is there any other convenient easy way to get the unencrypted spices?
Why TI doesn't just make them available for its users instead of making it hard to get?
Whats the point of holding it at first then they will give them away when request it?
I don't see how it make sense to do that!!!!
