Part Number:PMP20497

Hi Team,

The transformer PA4826NL in PMP20497 is for Vin=12V. If my customer designs Vin=24V, should we use a different transformer?

If so, do we have suggested P/N and spec?

Second, PMP20497 design file on TI.com is format as Aluminum Design. Could you send me schematci inORCAD file (.dsn)  and Layout in PADS (.pcb)?

Customer needs it to accelerate the design.

Dear Ti Team,

we are developing 28V/10A Battery charger Power Supply unit by 2 switch forward converter Topology,

In that we have doubt for wide input range (85VAC to 265VAC ) whether this can be possible by two switch forward

converter or not.

Kindly suggest suitable topology and controller IC

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

I have simulated the TPS54318 part with the following inputs Vin- 4.5V to 5.5V Fsw - 1.125Mhz Output - 2.5V @ 3A 1.

When i simulated with above parameter 2 weeks(13/06/2019) before i was getting following results Inductor - 1.5uH and Vout Overshoot/Undershoot - 100mV. 2.

when i simulated it today(03/07/2019), i am getting different results Inductor - 2.7uH Vout Overshoot/Undershoot - 160mV

Could please tell me the reason? We have finalized the inductor part(1.5uH) and Fsw(1.125Mhz) based on the simulation reports.

TINA/Spice/TPS709: Maximum output capacitance

$

Part Number:TPS709

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

The specification sheet for the TPS709 states that the maximum value of the load capacitance should be less than 47uF.   However, after downloading the Spice model from the TI website and instantiating a TPS70912 Macro, TINA-TI simulation shows almost no instability with over 1000uF on the load side.   I'm loading the output with a 120 resistor (10mA load) in parallel with a current source that sinks 0 to 140 mA at a 25 Hz rate.  I have a 3.3V source powering the regulator with 1uF on the input.   Very simple circuit.   I'm using 5 different capacitors since this is powering one load of a FPGA.   I really only need 101uF for the FPGA, but since the spec sheet states a max of 47uF, I want to see the effect on stability and if we need a different regulator.  Any comment would be appreciated.

Dear Sir:

How are you?

From UCC28780 web of TI, I can't find any webench window for design. And When I want to find more reference design from the webench web tool, I also can not find any design about UCC28780.

Did TI leave UCC28780 out? Would you please tell me how to use UCC28780 to get reference design(90vac-265vac   10V5A)?

Thank you very much.

My last thread has been locked ( I did not have access to a computer for a long time ) and I'm sorry to create new thread but I need a help.

I built a sensor based on your PCB and I need to test it now. I received data and I am not sure that my sensor works good.

Enclosed you will find screens of graphs with raw ADC samples. I do not know if received data are valid, because I did not find in guide user sample screens.

I did not run the firmware included with the TI design, because I need to use Nucleo STM32F4 with your PCB and these graphs were made by a loop 'while' and were drawn by program TelemetryViewer.

Before I use your algorithm, I'd like to know whether my samples are good.

Please for information on it.

TINA/Spice/UCC3895: ucc3895 TINA issue

Part Number: UCC3895

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi team

I installed TINA-TI for simulation, but the problem happened on the ucc3895, the problem is: when I add a 1% PWM pulse in SYNC pin ,the system was stop, and pin CT without signal output , also the OUTA,OUTB....  I want to know whether ucc3879 cannot add the extra clock in SYNC , I had check the datasheet ,the Sync pin is bidirectional interface , that means I can use the external CLK ,use the SYNC as the input pin .

I had test that if I do not connect the external wave , the device performance is OK. When I connect the SYNC , the output will stop.

Can you help me to solve this isssue.

Thank you very much

Leon.Liu

TIDA-00489: Sensor module not working after encapsulating with resin

$

Part Number:TIDA-00489

Hey guys. We have encapsulated approx. 25 TIDA 00489 modules with resin (I currently do not know the exact name of the resin, if you need it let me know). The TIDA modules were placed into some prototype 3D print housing and afterwards encapsulated to use them outdoor and protect them from humidity and other aggressive gases which could degrade the electronics over time. The only part visible from outside the chassis is the lens.

However, right after the encapsulation, the sensors started to detect non existing movements. The sensors were lying in boxes, completely isolated from the environment, so the resin could harden. There were definitely now movements or quick external heat variations triggering a signal, but after 5 mins the sensors detected 100 - 15,000 movements. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Only two sensors were still working the way they should. We have waited now for approx. 2 weeks but still only slight better behavior of the sensors.

Summary: After encapsulation, the sensors detect movements although there are definitely no movements. Only 2 out of 25 still work. 1 sensor even stopped completely to detect any movement at all.

Question: Do you have any experience, how a resin, which purpose is encapsulating electronics could cause such a behavior? Could you give us some advice what kind of resin to use in the future for sub GHz applications outdoor?

Part Number:TIDA-010047

Hi,

I am from a company that makes GaN Devices,

We are not experts on circuit design, but i think "TIDA-010047 22-W/in3, 93.1% peak efficiency, 100-W USB-PD 3.0 AC/DC adapter reference design" with 260kHz switching frequency is very good platform to test our devices, though TIDA-010047 demo kit is not for sale, is there any possibility that we can buy TIDA-010047 and TIDA-01622 demo kit from TI?

Thanks a lot,

Best regards,

Hi,

new version of TINA TI installs and runs under Debian 9.4 and WINE 1.8.7.

It was also that VirtualBox prevent clean upgrade and some program did not upgraded.

After solving the issue all program of TI that I plan to use: TINA-TI and SmartRF Studio, installed and run correctly.
