Part Number:TIDA-01605

Hello,

It appears that the TIDA-01605 evaluation board page was updated on 28 June 2019 (recently) with a newer eval board manual, however, all other documents i.e. gerber, schematic, BOM, Altium file, are now missing. Where can I find these files? I just received the push-pull transformer from Wurth but failed to download the files previously.

Thanks.

Part Number:TIDA-01505

Hi,

Below are few queries related to PWM controller, could you  please reply on below queries.

  1. Does UCC28C43 have variable duty cycle linearly or will only function as switch from 100% on to ~0% duty cycle? Mentioned datasheet value of Vfb for PWM duty cycle   2.6<Vfb<2.4 seems to be operating as switch
  2. There are few instances where set frequency of PWM go to half the ser frequency and 50% duty cycle.

TINA/Spice: Time control switch in TINA-TI doesn't work correctly. Could you please tell me what the cause is?

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

 Hello guys,

One of my customers is found some overshoot at TI IC output terminal when they plugged other IC input into the IC output.through a mechanical plug like 3.5mm earphone jack.

I tried to simulate this phenomenon by TINA-TI with the attached TINA-TI circuit. I used a time control switch element for the mechanical plug.

But I couldn't get expected result of the time control switch element with the attached schematic.

Could you please tell me what the cause is?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

 Best regards,

 Kazuya.

WEBENCH® Tools/LM5175: HDRV/LDRV probes

Part Number:LM5175

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi team,

When simulating the LM5175  in Webench the following options are available to probe for a waveform.

Would you have the possibility to add the M1, M2, M3 and M4 gate signals as probe options?

M1: HDRV1

M2: LDRV1

M3: HDRV2

M4: LDRV2

In an ideal case, it would be possible to derive the states of these pins from Vsw1/2 but as deadtime is playing a role, this is not straightforward.

Thanks,

Gustaf

Hi,

1) I assume that this IC (UCC28C43-Q1) is a fixed frequency (based on RT/CT external values).  How the duty cycle is getting varied in this device. Please provide the graphs which has the relations between FB value, duty cycle.

2) In the below reference circuit diagram, I am unable to understand the highlighted section. What is the purpose of the Transistor circuit. (Q15).

PMP20367: Heatsinking Considerations for Output Rectifying Diodes

Part Number:PMP20367

Hi Expert,

I am using the PMP20367 reference design for one of my projects. My questions are:

1. Which heatsink part number is recommended for use with the rectifying diodes(D23,D24,D25 and D26) used in the circuit.

2. Do I need to use insulation to isolate the tab and the heatsink from each other.

3. If insulation is not used should heatsink's mounting terminals be connected to the rectifying diode's cathode through the PCB.

Thank you,

Regards,

Mikha.

Part Number:TIDA-00281

Hi,

We made TIDA-00281 board with some of the modifications as listed below. Our application is to run 60V/250W BLDC motor for EV.

(1)We made this board on two-layer PCB.

(2)No Flyback sections used as we have availability of all the power supply.

(3)Use of heavy inductor is omitted.

For more informations you can refer our schematic and compare it with TIDA-00281.

Please review this board gerber.

We want rigorous review for this as we have critical application.

WEBENCH® Tools: Filter Design Tool

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

The Filter Design Tool is very good but is there a reason why the MFB topology only allows gains of 1 or greater.  I need to add some attenuation in my signal path to match an ADC input range so will have to add another stage.  Is there a way to achieve a design with gain <1?

help locating file/function in the Vision SDK (VSDK) containing the scheduler which calls the FFT and Angle_Find function, etc…

What development environment should we be using to proficiently make changes in the Vision SDK. I see plenty for reference to using CCS for target load, debug, and trace. Nothing about making changes to the src code. I tried letting CCS find a project in the SDK. I see a hello world for TDA3xx but nothing for the TDA2xx + AWR12xx cascade use case.

Hi Zach,

You can use any editor like notepad++, crimson, etc. when you want to make changes to VSDK source code.

We don't have CCS project support for VSDK.

Rishabh

---

Thank you Rishabh,

Referring to the response received, clearly using an editor would be ideal for us but we could make some progress if someone pointed us to the file/function containing the scheduler which calls the FFT functions and Angle_Find function, etc….  If we can at least look at this source it might allow us to make some progress of using the Demo as a template for our own purposes.

TINA/Spice/LM74670-Q1: Issue with LM74670 simulatiojn

Part Number:LM74670-Q1

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Good morning,

I'm attempting to use this model, but it keeps throwing the error "Missing syntax element. Line: - Macro Properties/Parameters. {SCK#}". I did see that under the SubCkt-(Content) line for the reference design it links to "C:\Users\x0273674\AppData\Local\Temp\DesignSoft\{Tina9-TI-10252017-122557}\LM74670-Q1_TRANS" Since that isn't one of the users on my computer, perhaps that's the issue? I attempted to change that parameter, but it won't let me. I tried both running the reference design as well as using the spice model, but both give the same error.

Sam Dick

PMP11769: 360W supply with 700W audio output?

$

Part Number:PMP11769

I have a question about this design. As is stated in the design description the 2 amplifiers are set for a total output of 700W (RMS I presume) whilst the 36V DC/DC supply provides 360W continuously (with 720W peaks).

Won't the power supply starve the amplifiers? Or does the design use bulk output capacitance in order to get that extra "oomph" to get it over those peaks in audio signal?

If I wanted to design something similar, what rules of thumb should I abide by? Should the power supply match the RMS wattage of an audio amp, or is there some other method of determining the rating of a PSU for such applications?

Thanks!

P.S. Sorry if this question gets posted in the wrong section, the form wouldn't let me choose "audio" or "power" sections.

TIDA-01173: layout question on OPT8241

Part Number:TIDA-01173

I have a layout question about OPT8241.

in the data sheet(page 26), "not soldered to expose die" was be mentioned.

I think it meaning that we should not open the solder mask(center ground pad) under the OPT8241.

But after I check the EVM board file. TIDA-01173 open the solder mask (center ground pad) under the OPT8241.
Is this correct? we need to open the pad under OPT8241 or not?

or we only need to open it on PCB, but close it on solder stencil?

please help to check & confirm .

Peter

Part Number:LM2576

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate the LM2576 Pspice Transient Model from http://www.ti.com/product/LM2576/toolssoftware but the model is not working properly. Using OrCAD Pspice is mandatory.

This is my schematic:

For example, if I simulate the ouput I don't get a constant duty cycle

Another example is the inductor current, it should be a triangular waveform but I get this

And this is how it should works (from webench)

I would appreciate your help, than you!

Hello,

my customer seems to have a problem with the WEBENCH ® Power designer.
It seems that he could not select any Configuration Options like: "Lowest Ripple Solution".
A few days ago he could select via Customize Options the Configuration Option "lowest ripple Solution" or "User preferred Frequency". At the moment it´s not working. Restarting Webench is not resolving the issue.
Any Idea what he´s doing wrong here and how i can help here?

Thanks in advance & best regards,
Brian

Dear TI support Team,

I'm currently working on PFC application and I need to realize some simulations.

Do you have any spice or TINA model for UCC28050 device? I did not find it on its web page.

Thanks
