TIDA-01214: Question about ADS8688 and TIDA-01214 reference board

Part Number:TIDA-01214

Good morning
I'm an italian engineer and I'm developing a data acquisition system for a company that manages
waste water plants. My need is to acquire data from analog sensors and your ads8688 ADC seems
good for my application. I checked you site and found your reference designed board. My purpose
is to integrate that board in the device I'm developing, which uses an ARM cortex CPU board
with SPI interface, and test it with my sensors.

My question is:
You board is available in some way and I can have one of them,
or I have to build one by myself using the reference file I can download from you site?

Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards.

TIDA-00779: PFC hardware testing failure issue

Part Number:TIDA-00779

the circuit is made as per the schematic diagram is given. and tried to test without any loading. But when pfc is not ON its working as a normal rectifier, and when PFC is on then the MOSFET is getting blasted.

What can be the possible cases?

and I have doubt in the inductor purchased because the size of that is too smaller than inductor in TI design-image. My design image is attached(can see the inductor)

Part Number:BQ25570

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hello together,

I just want to simulate the BQ25570 for functionality.

There was a PSpice transient model available. With which simulator is that working?

Is it usable with TINA-TI? When yes, how can I Import the model to it.

Kind regards

Designing a control board to drive pushpull drive configuration

hai,

I am in the process of designing a pcb for driving my pushpull configuration having mosfets on the two coils of the push pull transformer driven by gate driver ic.In the last version of my design, during testing stage i happen to see that ,when my controller starts switching the gates using drivers, when large current flow through the coils of the transformer ,the noise level tends to rise to a large extend. What are the possible ways by which i can reduce such an effect in my design? In previous version i happen just to use a 5v ldo for powering it.but in this version i have changed my design to TPS5401 ic to buck to a 5v power supply enough to power my MCU.looking at scenario do you think i need to implement any other circuitry in my design to reduce such noise levels affecting my power supply? Should i move on with the current buck converter ic chosen for design? Will it withstand such switching noise in first hand?

TIDA-01387: Part no. of supercaps listed in the BOM do not seem to exist

Hello, Given the product specs of 2A continuous peak current, 3.3V Vmin and 4.6V Vmax, How do we end up requiring 5.4V, 20F supercapacitor? What is the duration of the continuous peak current? I do understand that supercapacitor cell voltage is 2.7V, Are you saying that since we require 4.6V that implies 2 cells in series and the least capacitance you will get is 20F?. It would seem to me that the capaciotance requirement is much smaller unless the supercapacitor needs to discharge 2A for a looooong time. Could you please help clarify? Appreciate your help. Thanks. Chandra

TINA/Spice/PMP8621: Tried to simulate the PMP8621 reference design and failed.

Hi Community,

I was trying to simulate the reference design PMP8621 in Tina-TI.

However I could not get the expected 300V output and there was no output at the GDRV pin of the TPS40210 model.

I wonder if there's anything I should've done to run the simulation since I almost copied the PMP8621 schematic to Tina.

Best regards,

Yilong

WEBENCH® Tools/TPS62823: Input current in the webench simulation completely wrong

Part Number:TPS62823

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Dear team,

one of my AA has done a webench design with the TPS62823.

Below the conditions:

Vin min 4.8V

Vin max 5.2V

Vout 3.3V

Iot1.5A

Temp 85degC

The Input current in the simulation is high as 45A (see picture below, steady state simulation ), I've exported the design in TINA and it works fine. Do you have an expalnation?

regards,

Domenico

TINA/Spice: Automatic separate outputs

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

I found that you can make TinaTI automatically separate curves by adding a colon : to the end of an output name (such as Vout:). Is there an equivalent way to separate outputs instead? I have a parameterized model and always want outputs, not curves, separated.

Thank you!

TINA/Spice: Noise Macro Models

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hello:

The book "Operational Amplifier Noise: Techniques and Tips for Reducing Noise", says in Chapter 4 that on the TI site macro noise models are available by searching under "TINA Noise Sources".  However, this brings up thousands of links, mostly to particular parts, without an early reference to these noise macros.

The purpose of these noise macros is to build general noise models of both current and voltage, with the ability to model both 1/f and flat noise spectral density.  These can, for example, be used on the front end of a generic op amp model to add noise that matches the data sheet of a particular op amp.

Are these general purpose noise macros available?  If so, where can they be found?

Thanks,

TINA/Spice/OPA171: TINA-TI simulation differs from WEBENCH simulation

Part Number:OPA171

Tool/software:TINA-TI or Spice Models

I have a problem with simulation of an inverting amplifier using the OPA171.

Link to WEBENCH design:

This is an image of the same simulation inside TINA-TI:

Here are the TINA-TI files:
(Please visit the site to view this file)

(Please visit the site to view this file)

The OPA171 TSC is the official spice model from ti.com.

The WEBENCH simulation gives the expected result, but the TINA-TI simulation does not.
Am I missing something obvious?

Hope you can help me :-)

Hello team,

my customer started using TINA for the first time in order to simulate the LMG3410 and he downloaded the spice model from the website (snom608a). After the simulation of the transient the pogram gives him an error of which you can see the screenshot.

Is there anything we can suggest to make the error disappear?

Thank you and best regards,

Adrian

MEMS

Hello, I'm writing a term paper on MEMS and would need a few questions answered to include in my paper. Could anyone help answering these please ->

H    1.  What are your thoughts on Micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS) -are they useful or will they eventually be submerged by other technologies?

  1.    2.   What are the biggest challenges TI face while designing/manufacturing MEMS devices?
  2.      3.  How long does it usually take a business/industry to accept a new technology?

      Thanks kindly.
